I considered many words to title this page. “Support” is too heady with responsibility, “patronize” is too patriarchal. “Buttress” is seductive but ultimately too silly. “Champion,” yes, but you are not defending us from our foes (or maybe you are, but no slaying, please, down with gladiator-lust!). “Encourage,” yes, but more; “bolster,” “sustain,” “buoy,” “bear the weight,” “uphold”…
I ended with “maintain.” I love the idea of “maintenance” as a modern concept, one I’d like to provide for more people for more reasons. This one is just, joy, love, art, exuberance, and in the end, a shared warmth. Whatever you choose to contribute will, in the end, maintain.
